History...
Circa 1900 "Le Lion d'Or" was a hotel.
Since then, its beauty has faded, but we have put our heart and soul to rehabilitate this beautiful old Charente property.
Our neighbours tell us Le Lion d'Or was originally built in 1760.
The stamp date is 1907 when "Le Lion d'Or" was a hotel.
The property is located at the ‘Entrée du Bourg’, Roullet
in the commune of Roullet-Saint-Estèphe.
The property is orientated to front ‘Le Bourg’ which formed part of the royal road from Paris to Spain where Roullet was the first relay in the direction of Bordeaux south of Angoulême.
